"In Edwardian times the Adams Hotel had a famous marble bar, and before the races a special counter lunch was served on Saturday mornings. The food was grandly displayed on long tables, with chefs dressed in white serving the customers. The marble bar is now reconstructed within the Hilton Hotel."
